New ventures in art
I went back to University College London, this time for Slade and not the Public Policy School where I did my master degree, for further training in abstract and mixed media art. It was a truly inspirational experience when I broadened my choice of painting media, surface and new methods of expression. Below are my personal project, an installation exploring how we [choose to] view and interpret reality based on our personal experiences, if not bias.
This installation has three viewing panels. The visitors are invited to pick where they would start viewing, which results in different versions of subjective framing our vision. In short, this signifies we each have our own chosen version of reality, and that the reflection on the golden piece mirrors how we, mostly unconsciously, project our views onto the world.
Did you see what you wanted to see, or surprised by your own chosen vision?
